Missions Conference, Outreach and Language
God has allowed us to have our first ever Missions conference. We are excited to see how God will use our church to further the Gospel. God is sending more people our way that we have been able to witness. We have had many visitors it has been a blessing. We are excited that God has allowed us to be busy working the field he has placed us in.
Prayer Letter — January / February 2026
Reflecting on God's goodness in 2025, the Carters share answered prayers for visa appointments, a grief conference, Christmas on the field, community outreach, and the start of language school.
Prayer Letter — November / December 2025
The Carters express thankfulness for being on the field, share about baptizing two ladies, creating tracts for outreach, and preparing for a grief conference and their first Missions Conference in January.
Prayer Letter — October / November 2025
The Carters have arrived in Portugal and share their first three weeks — getting settled, experiencing culture shock, meeting people, and discovering familiar milk in a Portuguese store.

Intensive Language classes
I started an intensive language class. I will be doing 150 hours over the next 2 months. Pray that I can Learn fast and Right. Im praying to be conversational within a couple months.
Young man who needs salvation
Please pray for a young man that has come to church a couple weeks ago. Ive been able to share the Gospel with him 2 times. He says he's not ready just yet to accept Christ into his heart. Prayer God Gives me the ability to continue to witness with him about God!
Increasing Our Witness Around the World
Pray as we look to increase our witness and hand to helping others know Christ around the world. Missions doesn't change from the States to the field — we carry the same great commission.
Sharing the Gospel With Our Neighbors
Pray that we are able to continue to share the gospel with our neighbors. We have been building a relationship with them — they have invited us over for dinner and introduced us to their friends. We desire to see them come to the Lord.
Wisdom in Portuguese Culture
Pray for wisdom as we learn Portuguese culture and navigate the differences from life in the States.
Visitors and Contacts to Witness To
Pray that God sends visitors and contacts to witness to. We have had some visitors come to church over the last couple of weeks and desire to see more come to know the Lord. We have been able to meet with a family that has been coming. They said they have never heard a Pastor give them Bible on everything they are preaching. Pray for their salvation.
Those Who Watch the Gospel Film
Pray for those who read and watch the plan of salvation through the QR code on our tracts linking to 'The Gospel Film' in Portuguese. We have had several people watch the video — pray that seed is planted for the need of salvation in their hearts and lives.
Our Continual Adjustment to Portugal
Pray for our continual adjustment to Portugal. Learning the culture, where everything is, and navigating life in a foreign country with young children.
Language Learning
O português é muito difícil! Pray as we learn to speak Portuguese properly and in a timely manner so we can effectively communicate with the people God has put us with. Pray that Kiska is also able to minister alongside Jeshua and be comfortable in a foreign country. We have been going to class for 4 hours a week so far. We are learning but very slow. Pray that we continue to learn
The Church Learning Our Family
Pray for the church as they learn our family and we learn them. Pray for strong relationships and that we integrate well into the congregation.
Hearts and Minds of the Portuguese People
Pray for the people of Portugal and that the Lord softens their hearts to receive the Gospel. Less than 2% of Portuguese are evangelical Christians.

Aima Appointments done!!
We had our Visa Appointments. The Lord gave us a very helpful lady that was dealing with our paperwork. She took what he had and put it in the system after two hours we walked out with a paper we that gives us approval to be there until our 2 year cards come in the mail! Please pray we get those sooner than later! We cant thank God enough for his provision and strength to accomplish this here in Portugal!
We got our visas in the mail! Sooner than we expected. We are here now for 2 years before renewing again!
Visa Appointments on March 18th
Pray for our visa appointments on March 18th. God miraculously secured all of our appointments on the same day despite AIMA being on strike. We have been getting the Paper work all together for this appointment. Please pray we have all the necessary documents for this appointment. Pray for a speedy acceptance for our visas.
Language School and Babysitter
Pray that we find a language school and a babysitter so that Kiska can attend language classes alongside Jeshua.
The Lord has allowed us to find a language school and given us a babysitter that we are able to leave the boys with, allowing Kiska to attend language school with Jeshua. We started intensive language classes December 2nd.
