Prayer Letter — November / December 2025
I'd like to start this prayer letter off with Thankfulness. We are coming up to thanksgiving and I cannot get over that God has allowed me to be in Portugal to serve Him. He is a good God and all glory and praise belongs to Him. I'm thankful for a wonderful wife that supports and is just as excited to be here ministering in Portugal as I am. Two great boys that we love with all our hearts that we get to raise in the ministry. I'm thankful for faithful churches like yours that allow us to follow the leadership of Christ in Portugal. Your faithfulness is a great blessing and encouragement to my family and also to the other missionaries that you support and pray for.
Sometimes we take for granted those behind the scenes. I come from a church with many talented people that are tasked with different jobs. Now that I am here in Portugal, I am tasked with learning to do every duty on my own. I've been searching a lot of "how to" videos on YouTube. ANYTHING digital I struggle with. I have been learning how to make tracts and other things for the church that's needed. We have been passing out those tracts in our community and on our tract is a QR code for "The Gospel Film" by Bro. Garraway, in the Portuguese language. I am able to track and see how many people have watched it. It's been an encouragement to see those around us have seen the complete plan of salvation that I might never have a chance to speak with.
1 Cor 3:6 "I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase." Brother DaCunha started Igreja Baptista Biblica Da Travanca (the church I am now at here in Portugal) and I was blessed to be able to step in when He went home. Bro. DaCunha has planted and watered and God has given increase, I'm blessed to be part of what God has been doing here. We were able to baptize two ladies in a creek. It was an honor to be able to perform the baptism. November in Portugal is not all sunny and warm so the water was very cold and we found out that there are leeches in the water when I had gotten out. I kept telling the church after a couple minutes you just go numb, it's fine. We had a blast.
We started Church wide visitation and have seen people come out and help give out an invitation to church. We are having a grief outreach in the community and have made 5000 flyers to letter box with. Please pray December 6th and 7th, Bro. Rick Carter is going to be here and will talk about overcoming grief and giving the gospel to those who come. In January, we will be holding our first Missions Conference. I am excited to start preparing for that time as a church as we continue to fulfill the great commission in supporting missionaries together.
